Design & Materials:

When we set out to build our new eco-friendly pods we had a number of obstacles to overcome.

Firstly we need a design that was different from the other ecopods on the market. Most of our competition were simply content to use some eco-friendly materials and mix this with limited design skills. Unfortunately whilst this was a step in the right direction that is all it was. The ecopods they produced ended up looking (as they still do) like big garden sheds and not inviting living spaces.

We overcame these problems with the idea of a circular structure with a timber skeleton almost like a rib cage. The inspiration for this design was based on the very successful Asian long houses.

Due to the natural inspiration for the shape of the our pods we were able to bring onto the market our new designer pods. The pods have striking features whilst being designed to blend into natural surroundings.

Another hurdle we had to over come was the materials to use. When we embarked on this we wanted to be able to produce a structure that is comparable, if not better to traditional builds, but wherever possible uses environmentally sound materials.

Due to the bespoke nature of our eco-pods prices can vary depending on the finishing options and final design of the pod. All the pods listed below can be used for a variety of purposes from games rooms to offices, and classrooms to living spaces.

We do this by using only the most eco-friendly materials, donate a portion of our profits to children’s charities and aid with a number of educational and rehabilitation projects.
